This is how the crate sits on the boat. The seat bungie connects to the front of the crate. The crate can be lifted at the rear to access storing items in the well underneath.

New crate and mount
I decided to turn the crate sideways for this mount. The PVC tube is the same length as the original. I used stainless screws rather than the zip ties. It was a little 'cleaner' but also, this crate has a sloid bottom.
